Printing for the RHS

Teachers from across the North west spent a creative day at The Whitworth in conjunction with the RHS. The schools are working with the RHS to design gardens for the show at Tatton Park in 2018. The gardens will be inspired by artists and designers work, ranging from Damien Hurst to Monet. Teachers were shown the resources available at the Whitworth and engaged in creative techniques. Small groups worked from the natural forms in paintings at the Whitworth, producing simple relief prints in record time. Hopefully some will use the textures and patterns available in wallpaper for their garden designs.
