The Lost Words
Families coming to the Manchester Museum over half term were given the opportunity to print with artist Alan Birch. Over 3 afternoon sessions over 200 prints were produced as part of the activity week.Artist Alan Birch used his portable press to print detailed illustrations. Working from the theme of The Lost Words By Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris , artists young and old produced drypoint engravings , some incorporating text and colour. Visitors were able to see the book in the museum shop.
